Supercell has officially announced a new wave of balance changes in Clash of Clans, targeting troops, spells, pets, siege machines, and equipment. While most of the adjustments focus on buffs, a few important nerfs are also on the way to keep the meta healthy.

Although today’s update is only an announcement, these changes are expected to go live on or around January 12. So, let’s break everything down and see how these updates will impact your attacks and base strategies.

Druid Receives Major Buffs After Falling Out of the Meta

First of all, the Druid’s evolve time has increased by five seconds at all levels, allowing it to remain in healing form longer before transforming into a bear. On top of that, its healing per second has received a significant boost starting at 23% at level one and scaling down to 17% at max level, which is still a strong improvement.

Moreover, hero healing has also increased, making Druids far more effective in Queen Charges and Fireball Rocket Loon strategies. Once the Druid transforms into its bear form, it now gains extra HP and DPS at levels four and five, further strengthening its late-game impact.

Electro Dragon Gets a Subtle but Welcome Boost

While not as dramatic as the Druid changes, the Electro Dragon has also received buffs due to its low usage rate. Its hit points increase by up to 6% at lower levels, scaling down to 3% at level nine, which still translates to roughly 200 extra HP. Additionally, its damage per second has been slightly increased, helping Electro Dragons perform more reliably in spam and funnel-based attacks.

Super Troop Adjustments Shake Up the Meta

Several Super Troops are also seeing changes:

Super Witch now has higher HP and DPS at level seven. Most importantly, the Big Boy’s housing space increases from 10 to 20, preventing it from being thrown off the map by spring traps.

Super Giant gains both HP and DPS, though it remains to be seen whether this will push it back into the meta, especially with Meteor Golems still dominating.

Super Valkyrie receives a defensive buff the Rage spell she drops upon defeat now affects defenses, similar to a defending Rage Tower. This adds new creative options for base builders.

Pet Buffs Improve Survivability and Utility

Pets haven’t been forgotten either.

L.A.S.S.I. receives a significant HP increase, especially at higher levels, along with a massive 37.93% DPS boost. This could make her a more viable option again at higher Town Halls.

Sneezy gets a quality-of-life improvement its boogers no longer trigger traps, including red air mines. This makes Warden Walks much safer, although players will still need to manage Cocoa Loons carefully.

Siege Machines Get Stronger Where It Matters

Two siege machines are receiving buffs:

Wall Wrecker now has increased HP and DPS, although it may still struggle to compete with the Log Launcher at higher levels.

Battle Drill gains a noticeable HP increase, especially at level five (TH17–18). This makes it even more effective when paired with Meteor Golems, particularly against bases with invisibility towers near the Town Hall.

Equipment Buffs Bring New Strategic Options

Several pieces of hero equipment are also being improved:

Life Gem now boosts more extra HP, increases the HP cap, and enhances. The Warden’s own stats making the Life Aura more impactful overall.

Lavaloon Puppet now spawns three Lava Loons instead of two. Their housing space has been reduced, allowing two Lava Loons to be cloned.

Hog Rider Puppet for the Royal Champion now spawns one additional Hog Rider, and their effective level increases at max equipment.

Heroic Torch, previously considered one of the weakest options, receives buffs across the board HP, DPS, duration, damage reduction, and healing on activation. While still niche, it now offers much better value in the right hands.

Guardian Balance: One Buff, One Nerf

On the defensive side, the Smasher receives an attack range and alert range increase, allowing it to engage troops faster. Important Nerfs: Meteor Golems and Totem Spell

Not everything escaped untouched.

Meteor Golems now deal 50% less damage to walls, although their HP and building damage remain unchanged. This mainly affects back-end pathing rather than core attack strength.

The Totem Spell now loses HP over time, reducing its effectiveness. When used for long-duration tanking especially with Flame Flinger strategies.

Final Thoughts

Overall, these Clash of Clans balance changes clearly aim to increase variety. Revive underused troops, and slightly tone down overperforming strategies. While many of these buffs look promising on paper. Their true impact will only become clear once players start testing them in real attacks. What do you think? Will these changes improve your strategies, or force you to adapt your playstyle? The battlefield is about to change again. Read More
