The long-awaited Magic Wheel update is finally here, but it doesn’t come without controversy. While the new system introduces cleaner mechanics and better rewards, it also marks the slow goodbye of Crystals of Aurora (COA). If you’re a Magic Wheel or Collector event fan, this update will significantly change how you plan your resources.
The revamped Magic Wheel and Revamped Collector Event will officially go live on January 1st, 2026. Let’s break down everything you need to know.
Magic Wheel Resource Conversion Explained
With the update, all existing Magic Cores will be converted into Progress Points at a 1:1 ratio. Nothing is lost, but the usage changes entirely.
- Every draw now grants 1 Progress Point
- At 200 Progress Points, you are guaranteed 1 Arcane Star Core
- There is also a small chance to directly obtain an Arcane Star Core from a draw
The Arcane Star Core is the new premium currency used to exchange for Legend Skins in the event shop.
Legend Skins Get a Huge Upgrade
One of the best changes is that Legend Skins will now include their Trail Effects automatically. This removes the extra grind that players previously had to go through.
If you already spent Magic Cores in the past to unlock Legend Skin Trail Effects, you will receive compensation in the form of 15 Magic Wheel Potions per Trail Effect.
However, Crystals of Aurora can no longer be used for Magic Wheel draws. This marks a major shift in how premium events are funded.
New Magic Wheel Draw Rules
Each draw gives:
- 1 Progress Point
- 1 reward from the prize pool based on drop rates
Once you reach 200 Progress Points, an Arcane Star Core is guaranteed. One Arcane Star Core can be exchanged for one Legend Skin.
Dynamic Portraits can be unlocked for 800 Diamonds, but only if you already own the skin.
Weekly rewards reset every Monday at 12:00 AM server time. Any unclaimed rewards will be sent directly to your mailbox.
Magic Wheel Drop Rates Overview
- Arcane Star Core – 0.05%
- Lucky Golden Egg (Recall Effect) – 0.15%
- Irithel Ice Spike Skin – 0.40%
- Roger’s Raging Hunter Skin – 0.40%
- Selection Chest – 1%
- Lucky Ticket – 10%
- New Arrival Tokens – 10%
- Hero / Premium / Rare Skin Fragments – 10%
- Interactive Effects, Familiarity Items, Magic Dust – 12%
Updated Prize Pool and Animation
The prize pool now includes high-value rewards like Paradise Island and Angel Arch, making it far more rewarding than older Magic Wheel iterations.
The draw animation has also been updated. While it looks more polished, it is noticeably longer than before.
Revamped Collector Event Details
The Collector Event is also getting a visual refresh. Purchasing a Starlight Card now grants a 300 COA rebate, which is a solid bonus for regular buyers.
Draw costs:
- 1x Draw: 50 Diamonds (25 Diamonds with daily 50% discount)
- 10x Draw: 500 Diamonds (350 Diamonds with a 30% discount)
The featured Collector Skin is guaranteed within the first 10 draws. COA can still be used in this event.
The draw token is called the Lightborn Key, and shop exchanges use Regal Coins.
Collector Shop and Rewards
New Collector skins come with a 10% discount, costing 720 Regal Coins. Returning Collector skins are available for resale at 800 coins.
Additional milestone rewards include:
- Bonus Lightborn Keys for 10–40 draws
- 5 Keys at 90 draws
- 50 Fiat Coins at 110 draws
Final Thoughts
This Magic Wheel update is a mixed bag. While the new Progress Point system and guaranteed Arcane Star Core feel more structured and fair, the removal of COA from Magic Wheel draws is a big change for long-time players.
If you’re a collector, planner, or Legend skin hunter, this update will force you to rethink how you manage your diamonds and event strategy moving into 2026.
