Mobile Legends Advanced Server Update: Melissa Apology, Nerfs and Buffs

Quick Answer

A new Mobile Legends advanced server update brings hero and battlefield changes, plus a formal apology to Melissa players. Masha and Atlas received nerfs, while Aldous, Kaja, Gloo and Melissa got buffs. The developers also reworked defensive equipment, gold lane siege minions, and golden turret HP and gold rewards. Because this is the advanced server, nothing is locked in yet.

Moonton shipped another advanced server update, and this one has a little of everything. Masha took another nerf, Aldous landed a solid buff, and the developers had something to say about Melissa.

The apology matters. According to the developers, the Melissa adjustments in the previous patch hit harder than intended, so they partially reverted them to give some late game damage back.

Below is the full breakdown, heroes first, then equipment and battlefield changes. For more coverage like this, keep an eye on our Mobile Legends news section.

Hero Adjustments in the Advanced Server Update

Six heroes moved in this patch. Two took nerfs, four got buffs, and one received an apology alongside the change.

Masha

Masha is getting another nerf. The developers are reducing her sustained damage in the late game.

Her passive’s extra physical attack bonus drops from 1% to 0.5%. The bonus that scales with her level also shrinks, from 0.3% per level down to 0.2%. As a result, Masha deals noticeably less sustained damage once a match stretches out.

Aldous

Aldous receives a solid buff to his second skill. The developers reduced its cooldown and increased its damage reduction.

Previously the cooldown started at 12 seconds and scaled down to 9.5 seconds. Now it sits at a flat 9.5 seconds at all levels. Meanwhile, the damage reduction goes from a fixed 30% up to a range of 30% to 55%.

So Aldous can spam the skill more often in the early game, and he becomes far harder to kill in the late game.

Melissa

Melissa is the headline of this patch. The developers stated that the previous patch’s adjustments were more severe than intended, and they sincerely apologized to Melissa players.

Because of that, they partially reverted those changes. Her second skill’s damage transfer previously had a fixed ratio of 52%, and it now scales from 50% to 60%. The attack effect inheritance ratio receives the same treatment, moving from a fixed 52% to 50% to 60%.

That means slightly lower damage transfer early, but stronger damage late. Overall, the change restores part of Melissa’s late game damage without fully undoing the previous adjustment.

Kaja

Kaja gets improvements to his second skill. His turning speed while soaring is increased, which makes his movement feel more responsive.

Two new effects extend airtime. While soaring, hitting enemies with enhanced basic attacks slightly extends the duration. Hitting enemy minions with his second skill also extends the soaring state.

As a result, Kaja gains better mobility plus more ways to stay airborne.

Atlas

Atlas takes a nerf because his passive froze enemies too frequently. The duration of Frigid Breath drops from 5 seconds to 4 seconds.

Enemies now spend less time under the passive’s effect, which makes avoiding the freeze a little easier. Overall, Atlas’s passive feels less oppressive in team fights.

Gloo

Gloo benefits from a full revert. The developers rolled back his experimental changes, and his first skill’s explosion damage increases from 200 to 350 up to 230 to 380.

Kagura

Kagura only receives a visual improvement. The developers optimized the indicator showing the maximum distance between Kagura and her umbrella.

No gameplay change happens here, just a clearer visual cue for spacing.

Equipment Changes

Two defensive items moved in opposite directions.

Chastise Puldron was too effective against heroes who rely on attack speed, so its effectiveness drops slightly. Previously the passive reduced the attacker’s attack speed and attack speed cap to 75%. Now the cap is raised to 80%, so attack speed heroes suffer less when attacking a holder of this item.

Anticlus, on the other hand, wasn’t performing as well as Chastise, so it gets a buff. Its passive now reduces the attacker’s physical damage by 8%, up from 6%. Because of that, it becomes a stronger defensive option against physical damage heroes.

Gold Lane and Turret Adjustments

The developers noticed that fighters had taken over the gold lane in high rank matches and professional tournaments. To help marksmen farm faster, they increased the extra gold from gold lane siege minions.

That bonus rises from 40% to 60%. Fighters benefit from the extra gold too, but marksmen depend far more heavily on items, so the change should help them reach their power spike earlier. Fighters generally dominate the early to mid game, while marksmen turn dangerous once core items come online. This adjustment gives marksmen a fairer shot in that matchup.

The golden turret also changed. The base turret’s additional HP doubles, going from 1,000 extra HP up to 2,000.

Turret gold rewards drop instead. The outer turret reward falls from 100 to 90 gold, and the inner turret reward drops from 140 to 120. So the base turret is tougher to bring down, while teams earn slightly less gold from clearing it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happened in the latest Mobile Legends advanced server update?

Masha and Atlas received nerfs, while Aldous, Kaja, Gloo and Melissa got buffs. The developers also reworked Chastise Puldron and Anticlus, increased gold lane siege minion gold, and adjusted golden turret HP and gold rewards.

Why did the developers apologize to Melissa players?

They said the Melissa adjustments from the previous patch were more severe than intended. In response, they partially reverted the changes, raising her damage transfer and attack effect inheritance ratios from a fixed 52% to a 50% to 60% range.

How does this patch help marksmen in the gold lane?

Gold lane siege minions now grant 60% extra gold instead of 40%. Since marksmen scale hard with items, the extra income should help them reach their power spike sooner against early game fighters.

Are these changes permanent?

No. Everything listed sits on the advanced server, so the numbers can still change before the update reaches the original server.

What Stands Out in This Patch

The Melissa apology signals that Moonton is watching how hard the last round of nerfs landed. Meanwhile, the gold lane gold buff suggests they want marksmen back in a lane fighters had claimed.
